Mahesh Kumar Goud casts vote in Nizamabad, confident of Congress win

Hyderabad: Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) President and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud cast his vote in the municipal elections at Sunflower High School polling station in Nizamabad on Wednesday.

After casting his ballot, Mahesh Kumar Goud casts vote and expressed confidence that the Congress would secure victory in the municipal elections. He then spoke to the media outside the polling station.

He said he felt proud to exercise the right to vote guaranteed by the Constitution in his birthplace. Moreover, he described the vote as a precious constitutional gift and urged citizens to participate in large numbers.

According to him, higher voter turnout would help elect quality leaders committed to public service. In addition, he said leaders who remained among the people and worked consistently for their welfare deserved victory.

Expressing confidence, he said the Congress flag would fly in Nizamabad after the elections. He further stated that the party enjoyed strong support across the town.

However, Goud criticised the Bharatiya Janata Party, alleging that it was attempting to provoke voters in the name of religion during the municipal polls.

He said the people of Nizamabad would vote for development through their mandate. Therefore, he expressed hope that the electorate would reject divisive politics and support governance focused on public welfare.
