Legislatures symbolise democracy, officials must stay alert: Bhatti Vikramarka

Hyderabad: Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Monday said the Legislative Assembly and Legislative Council symbolised the spirit of democracy. He urged senior officials to stay alert during the ongoing sessions.

He asked officials to ensure transparency and share timely information with Ministers and Members. He said accurate inputs helped the House respond effectively to public issues, which was a priority for the Deputy Chief Minister, Bhatti Vikramarka.

Officials must stay prepared during sessions

The Deputy Chief Minister made the remarks at a review meeting with IT and Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu. He said accountability inside the House mattered as much as governance outside.

He directed officials to remain fully prepared with facts and figures at all times. Clear and precise replies, according to Bhatti Vikramarka, strengthened public trust in democratic institutions.

Sridhar Babu said legislative sessions should enhance the dignity and prestige of the Assembly and Council. Bhatti Vikramarka also directed officials to remain present in the House with complete details on all matters.

He also asked departments to closely monitor Zero Hour issues and pending assurances. Proper coordination, as emphasised by Bhatti Vikramarka, ensured the smooth conduct of legislative business.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Legislature Secretaries and senior officials from various departments attended the meeting.
