HYDERABAD: Senior BJP leader and Rajya Sabha member Laxman strongly criticised the strategies adopted by the BRS and Congress in the ongoing MLC elections in Hyderabad.
Addressing media in the city, Laxman alleged that both BRS and Congress had formed a tactical alliance with the sole aim of damaging the BJP’s prospects. However, he asserted that the BJP was emerging as a powerful force in Telangana and would soon come to power under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
He further stated that BRS leaders like K. T. Rama Rao were avoiding direct participation in the elections, and internal dissent within the party was evident as instructions were being issued to some leaders to stay away from voting.
Laxman accused both the BRS and Congress of being driven by greed and said they were now working together to weaken the BJP.
He added that political parties across the spectrum were uniting solely to oppose the BJP. Referring to the MLC elections in Hyderabad, he claimed that the BRS was making desperate efforts to secure a win at any cost.
Laxman reiterated his belief that under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, the BJP would soon come to power in Telangana, reflecting the party’s growing strength across the state.
