Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday paid homage to Telangana freedom fighter and communist leader Ravi Narayana Reddy on his death anniversary, calling him a symbol of political consciousness and resistance.
In a message posted on platform X, KTR described Reddy as a defining figure in Telangana’s political history and the armed peasant struggle. He credited Reddy for standing up to repressive regimes and promoting democratic values during a crucial period in India’s freedom movement.
KTR highlighted Reddy’s efforts to expand education across Telangana by establishing schools and hostels. He also recalled Reddy’s historic victory from Nalgonda in independent India’s first general elections, where he secured one of the highest winning margins of that era.
The BRS leader said Ravi Narayana Reddy’s legacy continues to inspire new generations. He urged citizens to draw strength from his ideals and rededicate themselves to safeguarding Telangana’s democratic and social interests.
