KTR alleges Revanth’s arrogance caused ₹15,000 crore loss to Telangana

Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao on Sunday alleged that Chief Minister Revanth Reddy’s arrogance and misgovernance had caused a ₹15,000 crore financial loss to Telangana.

Rama Rao said the unilateral cancellation of the Airport Metro line was driven by personal motives and ego. He claimed that the decision disrupted the state’s infrastructure plans and damaged investor confidence. According to him, the government had threatened L&T with false cases over the Medigadda project, forcing the firm to withdraw operations in Telangana.

He accused the Congress-led government of targeting L&T for political commissions and alleged that the chief minister boasted on a national news channel about asking police to arrest the company’s CFO.

Revanth arrogance Telangana governance failure affects development

Rama Rao stated that the state’s taxpayers would now bear a ₹15,000 crore burden due to L&T’s exit. He said Revanth’s actions had discouraged private investment and stalled development projects.

He further criticised the Congress government for deepening the state’s economic crisis. Fee reimbursement had halted, the Aarogyasri health scheme was inactive, and the six pre-election guarantees remained unfulfilled. Meanwhile, Rama Rao pointed out that the government had found funds to settle corporate loans while ignoring essential public services.
