KTR hails BRS show, targets Congress after panchayat polls

Hyderabad: BRS Working President KTR said the second phase of panchayat elections showed strong public support for the BRS and growing rejection of the Congress party. In a post on X, he congratulated party leaders and workers for what he described as exceptional results.

Notably, KTR said BRS leaders and cadres proved their strength even in constituencies represented by Congress ministers and MLAs. According to him, the village verdict exposed visible cracks in the ruling party’s support base.

Meanwhile, he said Congress had come to power through what he described as indirect means. Therefore, he added that rural voters had once again delivered a clear message through the panchayat elections.

KTR attacks Congress governance after village verdict

KTR said the Congress government’s administrative failures and alleged lapses in implementing guarantees had turned into political liabilities. As a result, he claimed the ruling party now faced mounting resistance at the village level.

In contrast, he said Congress failed to win even half of the panchayats. Earlier, he noted, the BRS had secured sweeping victories during its tenure.

Finally, KTR said the results served as a warning to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. Moreover, he thanked the people of Telangana for supporting the BRS’s political struggle and assured party workers of full backing in the future.
