Hyderabad: BRS working president K.T. Rama Rao landed in Hyderabad on Saturday morning, bringing to a close his high-profile tour of the US and UK that saw him promoting investments and engaging with party supporters abroad.
Party leaders and supporters gathered at Shamshabad airport to extend a warm welcome to KTR, who left for London and the US on May 27. Upon arriving in London that evening, he was greeted by enthusiastic NRIs.
In London, KTR held discussions with BRS NRI cell members and senior leaders on May 28, followed by meetings with representatives of the UK Telugu Business Council and industrialists to pitch for investments in Telangana. On May 30, his keynote address at the Bridge India Week-25 conference attracted considerable attention, as he showcased Telangana’s rapid economic strides and inclusive development model. He also inaugurated the PDSL Knowledge Centre at Warwick University, which offers R&D services to major firms like McLaren, Aston Martin, Jaguar, and Land Rover.
After wrapping up his London engagements, KTR proceeded to Dallas, arriving there on June 1. He participated in the Telangana State Formation Day celebrations and the BRS party’s silver jubilee event at Comerica Centre in Frisco, where thousands of NRIs who had supported the Telangana movement turned up. The following day, he interacted with Indian students at the University of Texas at Dallas, assuring them of legal assistance for any challenges they might face in the US.
The Dallas leg of his visit left KTR with fond memories. On Friday, he took to his social media handle to express his gratitude to several supporters who played a crucial role in organising the events. He mentioned Sravani and Uday Kumar Reddy for their hospitality and noted with delight that they named their children after KCR: Katta Idveth Chandrarreddy (KCR) and Katta Advik Chandrarreddy (KCR).
KTR also praised a passionate supporter named Kishore, who drove 2,000 miles to show his love for Telangana’s first Chief Minister, KCR. Another fan, Praveen Reddy Kolan, went so far as to dye his beard pink, the party’s signature colour, which KTR described as truly heartwarming. He also acknowledged Shashank Velagala’s family for their steadfast support.
Would like to introduce a few individuals who’ve left me with some very fond memories from Dallas
