Hyderabad: The Hyderabad City Police have launched a city-wide manhunt after an armed robbery and shooting occurred at an ATM in Koti. This happened early Saturday morning.
The incident took place around 7 a.m. when Rinshad P.V. (26), a Kerala-based businessman dealing in kids’ clothing, attempted to deposit ₹6 lakh in cash at the SBI Main Branch ATM on Bank Street. While he was inside the kiosk, two unidentified assailants approached from behind. They held a firearm against his abdomen.
One of the men fired two shots, hitting Rinshad in the right leg, before snatching his cash bag and the keys to the vehicle he had arrived in.

The suspects fled in the victim’s vehicle (TS 08 HN 8582), driving through Chaderghat and abandoning it near Nimboliadda in Kachiguda. They changed their clothes before escaping on foot towards Kachiguda X Roads.
A case has been registered at Sultanbazar Police Station under FIR No. 28/2026. The charges include Sections 109 (Attempt to Murder) and 309 (Robbery) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Additionally, the charges include Section 27 of the Arms Act, 1959.
In response, multiple special crime teams have been constituted to trace the culprits. The Hyderabad Police are analysing CCTV footage, collecting technical data, and coordinating with adjacent jurisdictions.
Officials assured that every resource is being deployed to track the accused. The safety of citizens remains a top priority. Moreover, investigators are working on leads to bring the perpetrators to justice swiftly.
Police have appealed to the public for any information on suspicious movements. They assured that informant identities will be kept confidential.
