Hyderabad: Ministers Konda Surekha and Seethakka tied Rakhi to Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy at his residence on Friday to mark Raksha Bandhan. The two Ministers joined the Chief Minister’s family members for the festival celebrations. Surekha and Seethakka visited the residence together on the occasion.
The visit marked Surekha’s first appearance at the Chief Minister’s residence after the recent controversy involving Parkal. She tied a gold Rakhi to Revanth Reddy and later left the premises without speaking to the media.

Later, Surekha addressed reporters at her residence and said she had tied a Rakhi to Revanth Reddy for the third consecutive year. “I have tied a Rakhi to Revanth Reddy for the third consecutive year. I view myself as a sister to all, and I prefer not to offer political comments during a festive period,” she said.
Surekha said the Chief Minister had consistently received the support of women across Telangana. She also said she had prayed for strength for Revanth Reddy to lead the State’s development.
“I prayed for God to grant him the strength to drive Telangana’s development, and I hope he continues to receive the blessings of women,” she said.
The Raksha Bandhan celebrations took place at the Chief Minister’s residence in the presence of family members. Surekha later spoke to reporters at her residence about the occasion.
