Komatireddy Venkat Reddy accuses KCR of massive corruption during BRS rule

HYDERABAD: State Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy levelled serious allegations against former Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao (KCR) during a programme held in Nalgonda district. The Minister claimed that the KCR-led government was involved in corruption worth nearly ₹10,000 crore over the past decade. He further alleged that thousands of acres of land were illegally allotted through the Dharani portal.

Venkat Reddy also accused KCR of abusing his power by tapping the phones of ministers and officials. He stated that the BRS government did little for Telangana’s development, focusing instead solely on consolidating its own power.

Highlighting the Congress Party’s contributions, Venkat Reddy said that Congress had made the greatest sacrifices for the creation of Telangana and played a pivotal role in achieving statehood. He further alleged that after coming to power, KCR falsely accused the Congress of various wrongdoings.

Speaking of the Congress government’s achievements, Venkat Reddy pointed out that within just one year, more than 50,000 jobs had been provided, financial aid extended to farmers, loans waived, and several public welfare schemes implemented. He asserted that the BRS government could not achieve even 20 percent of what the Congress had accomplished.

The Minister’s comments came in response to KCR’s fierce criticism of the Congress government during a speech at the BRS silver jubilee celebrations, where KCR had accused the Congress of widespread corruption.
