Komatireddy felicitates NAC instructor Snehalatha for winning national best teacher award

Hyderabad: Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Thursday felicitated senior NAC instructor Nakka Snehalatha, who received the national Best Teacher Award from the President of India. The award recognized her outstanding work in skill development and youth empowerment.

Snehalatha works with the National Academy of Construction (NAC) and was one of only 13 instructors selected nationwide for the honour. The Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship presented the award in New Delhi on September 5, marking Teachers’ Day.

She met the minister at his camp office in the Ministers’ quarters, where he honoured her with a shawl and memento.

Recognition for skill training excellence

Komatireddy praised Snehalatha for equipping unemployed youth with practical, job-ready skills. Her training programs, he said, have made a real difference in districts like Warangal, Karimnagar, and Jagtial.

He noted that the Congress-led People’s Government is focusing on skill development to drive both economic growth and social upliftment. “We’re building advanced Skill Development Centres across Telangana so that every young person has the tools to compete globally,” he added.

New centre to launch in Nalgonda

The minister also announced a new skill development centre that will open soon in Nalgonda. It will feature modern infrastructure and offer advanced training, promoting innovation and entrepreneurship among local youth.

Komatireddy thanked NAC Director Shanti Sri for her leadership and support. He expressed confidence that Snehalatha’s national recognition would motivate more trainers to elevate the state’s skill training standards.
