Hyderabad: Roads & Buildings and Cinematography Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy on Saturday urged voters to give Congress a decisive mandate in the February 11 municipal elections. He called for a complete sweep across all 48 divisions of the Nalgonda Municipal Corporation.
While campaigning in Divisions 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 25, he said Congress had long commanded public support in Nalgonda Municipal. He added that ongoing development projects worth ₹2,200 crore could move forward only with Congress-led governance.
Congress pledges inclusive growth and citywide development
Komatireddy noted that welfare programs had gained momentum only after Congress came to power in Telangana. He said Congress corporators would raise residents’ concerns directly with him. Issues affecting low-income families, he assured, would receive his personal attention.
He also promised further development using both state and Central government funds. Referring to the Pratik Foundation, founded in memory of his son, he highlighted efforts in healthcare and education. This included the ₹8.5 crore Komatireddy Pratik Government School in Bottuguda, built with infrastructure matching corporate institutions.
Thanking the public for electing him five times, Komatireddy reaffirmed his goal to make Nalgonda a “Super Smart City.” He announced the adoption of Ward No. 8 for focused development. He also assured that a CC road in Mamillagudem would be completed within three months. Additionally, he pledged Indiramma houses for all eligible families with plots inside the municipality.
He cautioned that electing candidates from other parties could obstruct the city’s development. Therefore, he urged voters to choose Congress and vote for the hand symbol.
