Hyderabad: Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy launched the Census 2027 self-enumeration phase in Telangana by registering his details on the official online portal on Sunday.
Addressing a press conference organised by the Directorate of Census Operations, Telangana, he said the Census 2027 self-enumeration was a key step in strengthening governance and planning. He added that accurate data would support policymaking and ensure inclusive development.
Kishan Reddy said the upcoming census marked a shift towards digital processes, improving transparency and efficiency. He stated that the self-enumeration facility would be available from April 26 to May 10, 2026.
He added that House Listing Operations would follow from May 11 to June 9, 2026, forming the next stage of data collection. The Minister said the process would help generate a clearer picture of socio-economic conditions across the country.
Census 2027 self-enumeration to use a digital platform
He urged citizens to participate actively in the Census 2027 self-enumeration and provide accurate information. He said each data point would contribute to national development and the vision of Narendra Modi for a developed India.
Bharathi Holikeri said the self-enumeration system allows residents to submit their details directly through the official portal. She added that all submitted data would remain confidential.
She said a Self-Enumeration ID would be generated after submission and later verified by an enumerator. Officials encouraged residents to use the digital platform for faster and more efficient participation.
Senior officials, including R. V. Karnan and Priyanka Ala, were present at the event.
