Hyderabad: Congress MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy issued a sharp response to K.T. Rama Rao on Friday, saying Kiran Kumar Reddy counters KTR over what he described as selective attacks on the government. He spoke at Gandhi Bhavan and argued that KTR viewed every issue through one lens, much like someone who believed “the whole world turns green after catching chickenpox.”
The MP said the BRS government focused on “farmhouse rule” instead of public governance. He reminded that KTR himself once admitted that every major decision under the previous administration went through the Cabinet. Even so, he said, KTR now questioned every move of the Revanth Reddy government only to target the Chief Minister’s family.
Kiran Kumar Reddy challenged KTR to reveal how many members of the CM’s family held posts in the current government. He added that, unlike KTR, the Congress did not give political positions to all relatives. He asked what KTR achieved in ten years and demanded clarity on what happened to the investments he once claimed to have brought to Telangana.
Kiran Kumar Reddy counters KTR on governance record
The MP said KTR and his associates never worked for Telangana’s real progress. He alleged that they blocked good initiatives whenever Congress pushed development measures. He further said business owners were threatened during the BRS rule and claimed that KTR used political pressure to influence them.
Kiran Kumar Reddy remarked that even after losing the Assembly and Parliament elections, KTR failed to change his approach. He argued that the BRS leader continued to attack the government without addressing his own record. The MP added that KTR lost the Jubilee Hills seat, yet still refused to reflect on public rejection.
He said the Congress government wanted stable development and a clean style of governance. According to him, BRS leaders were trying to divert attention from their failures by shifting blame instead of presenting facts.
