Hyderabad: On the eleventh Telangana Formation Day, former Chief Minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) supremo K Chandrashekhar Rao struck a reflective and pointed note—urging the Congress-led government to stay the course on welfare and inclusive growth.
Marking the occasion with a message to the people of Telangana, KCR recalled the State’s hard-won birth, forged through years of peaceful and democratic agitation. He said the movement was a testament to the people’s resilience and unity.
“Telangana, once side-lined in the unified Andhra Pradesh, transformed into a benchmark for development and welfare in just ten years,” KCR said, hailing what he called a decade of inclusive progress under BRS stewardship.
In a pointed message aimed squarely at the current administration—without dropping any names—the former Chief Minister called for a shift from politicking to real governance. He pressed the ruling Congress to deliver on its election promises, put people at the center of its policies, and work to restore public trust.
Still upbeat about Telangana’s trajectory, KCR singled out agriculture and dairy as the backbone of rural growth. He voiced hope that the state’s development approach, grounded in fairness and welfare, would keep lifting all segments of society.
