Hyderabad: BRS president and Opposition leader K Chandrashekhar Rao on Monday expressed shock over the sudden death of journalist Jeedipally Datthu Reddy in Warangal.
Reddy, 37, died following a heart attack.
KCR called his death a setback for Telugu journalism and conveyed condolences to the bereaved family.
BRS working president K T Rama Rao also mourned the loss. In a separate statement, he termed the journalist’s sudden passing deeply distressing and offered prayers for his soul.
Senior MLA T Harish Rao recalled Reddy’s reporting work on Mission Kakatiya and other government schemes. He said the journalist had made notable contributions across Hyderabad, Nalgonda and Warangal.
Harish Rao described the death of journalist Datthu Reddy as a major loss to the media fraternity and to the State.
