KCR asks BRS cadre to focus on municipal elections

Hyderabad: BRS chief and former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao urged party ranks to work together and secure victory in the upcoming municipal elections in Telangana.

The direction came during a brief interaction at his Nandinagar residence on Sunday. Former ministers, MLAs, MLCs, and senior leaders met him after the SIT completed its questioning.

During the meeting, KCR said the party must aim to win all 116 municipalities and seven municipal corporations. He stressed the need for coordination at every level.

Municipal elections key focus, KCR tells BRS leaders

Cautioning party workers, KCR asked them to remain alert against what he described as the ruling party’s conspiracies. He warned that the Congress could attempt a show of strength on polling day.

To counter such moves, he called on party workers to remain alert throughout the election process, especially on polling day. Strong booth-level management, he said, would play a decisive role.

KCR added that the party should aim to hoist the BRS flag in the maximum number of municipalities. Unity and discipline, he said, would decide the outcome of the municipal elections.
