Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi President K. Kavitha on Saturday accused the Congress government of betraying Telangana’s unemployed youth. She alleged that the administration is enabling backdoor recruitment to fill backlog vacancies in several key departments.
Kavitha claimed that non-transparent hiring is taking place in the Municipal, Revenue, Irrigation, TRANSCO, and GENCO departments. According to her, job aspirants have reported attempts by political leaders and corrupt officials to sell posts through influence and money, sidelining qualified candidates.
Kavitha says Congress broke job calendar promise
She said many unemployed youth spent lakhs on coaching but are once again facing disappointment. Referring to the Telangana movement, Kavitha reminded that young people fought for statehood with the hope of secure employment. Instead, successive governments have broken that trust.
Criticising the previous BRS regime, she said it mishandled recruitment by conducting multiple exams on the same day and making appointments without merit-based tests. She cited recruitment scams in districts like Nirmal, where high-paying jobs were allegedly sold.
Kavitha said voters trusted Congress to fix these issues by announcing a job calendar. However, even after coming to power, the party has not released proper notifications. She warned that SC, ST, and BC backlog vacancies may also be sold off, pointing to complaints from districts such as Nizamabad, Kamareddy, Adilabad, and Nirmal.
She demanded an immediate halt to these illegal practices and called for impartial investigations. Telangana Jagruthi, she said, will not stay silent. Kavitha warned that if her organisation comes to power, it will ensure strict punishment for both bribe-givers and bribe-takers.
She urged job seekers not to fall into corruption traps. “Government jobs are not for sale,” she declared, demanding urgent intervention to protect Telangana’s future.
