Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi founder president Kalvakuntla Kavitha said everyone must work to realise B. R. Ambedkar’s ideals as she offered tributes to Ambedkar in Kothagudem. She visited the Post Office Centre on Saturday and placed floral garlands on the statue before addressing the gathering.
Kavitha’s visit highlights tributes to Ambedkar in Kothagudem
Kavitha said SC, ST, BC and minority communities secured vital rights because of Ambedkar’s work. Moreover, she noted that Ambedkar stood for all sections of society. Jagruthi leaders and representatives from various wings welcomed her with bouquets. District Jagruthi president D. Veeranna and several others joined the programme.
At the same location, Kothagudem MLA Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao also visited the statue and spoke to reporters. He and Kavitha met unexpectedly when she arrived at the spot. Consequently, he greeted her warmly, and she responded with a formal gesture. Local leaders and Jagruthi workers moved forward to take photographs as the two exchanged greetings.
