Kavitha questions BRS conspiracy in Nizamabad defeat, seeks public support

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi president Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Saturday questioned whether her defeat in the Nizamabad Lok Sabha election was the result of a deliberate conspiracy. She made the remarks while launching the “Jagruthi Janambata” outreach campaign at the Telangana Jagruthi office in Nizamabad.

Speaking to a large gathering, Kavitha said she had served KCR, TRS, and BRS for 20 years. “Those I trusted exposed internal party matters and worked to push me out. Today, I walk a new path, seeking your blessings as your daughter and daughter-in-law,” she said.

Kavitha Nizamabad defeat: calls for reflection, vows to keep fighting

Explaining her five-month absence from the district, Kavitha said her heart never left Nizamabad. “No matter where I go, my mind is here. This is my land, and someday I will return to it forever.”

She urged BRS cadres to reflect on whether her defeat was staged and said even local children could explain what happened. While she remained loyal to the party’s ideology, she accused some of using insider knowledge to sideline her.

Kavitha also slammed the Revanth Reddy-led Congress government for failing to ensure safety for women, deliver pensions, and maintain public services. She cited poor conditions in Gurukul schools and Nizamabad Government Hospital as examples.

She demanded ₹1 crore compensation for every family of a Telangana martyr and identity cards for all who took part in the movement. Kavitha said they deserved pensions similar to those granted to freedom fighters.

‘No longer under KCR’s shadow’: Kavitha begins fresh outreach

Kavitha said she was forced out of KCR’s shadow but would continue to engage with students, academics, and civil society. “I want every individual to live with dignity and be part of meaningful development,” she said.

She concluded by urging the public to stand by her, stating, “We are not asking for gold or the sky. We ask only for basic needs—food, housing, healthcare, and education for people living in poverty.”
