Kalvakuntla Kavitha greets newly elected panchayat representatives

Hyderabad: Telangana Jagruthi chief and MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha on Monday extended greetings to newly elected sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, and ward members across the state as they took charge. These panchayat leaders are now poised to make significant changes in their communities.

The state completed panchayat elections in three phases. After the polls ended, the newly elected representatives took oath and formally assumed responsibilities on Monday. The Panchayat Raj department made all arrangements for the transition of village administration.

With the oath-taking, village governance moved from special officers to elected sarpanches. Panchayat leaders, including the sarpanches, are now responsible for overseeing the new administrative term in rural local bodies across Telangana.

Kalvakuntla Kavitha urges focus on village development

Kalvakuntla Kavitha conveyed her wishes through a post on social media platform X. She congratulated sarpanches, deputy sarpanches, and ward members who won the village panchayat elections.

In her message, she said villages form the backbone of the nation. She added that panchayat leaders hold key roles, and village development alone can drive national progress.

Kalvakuntla Kavitha urged the newly elected representatives to work selflessly for rural growth. She expressed hope that these panchayat leaders would strengthen villages and improve living conditions for residents.
