Hyderabad: Station Ghanpur MLA Kadiam Srihari said that his resignation matter will depend on the Speaker’s decision as the inquiry into party defections moves ahead. He said he has been discussing the issue with his constituents and legal experts before taking a final call.
Speaking to a TV channel on Saturday, Srihari said the opposition was reacting with unnecessary excitement. He pointed out that he never announced his resignation to any media outlet and that his decision will follow the Speaker’s direction. He added that he will share his final stand soon.

Srihari said the Speaker issued a notice asking him to submit an explanation on party defections by November 23, following Supreme Court directions. He met the Speaker on Saturday and sought additional time to file his response. Moreover, he said the Speaker responded positively to his request. He expressed hope that the Speaker will announce the extended timeline later today.
Srihari said he remains confident even if a bypoll is declared. He claimed he would contest again and believed the voters of Station Ghanpur would support him once more.
