Hyderabad: The late K. Rosaiah, former Chief Minister of undivided Andhra Pradesh and a senior Congress statesman, is set to be honoured with a bronze statue at Hyderabad’s Lakdi-ka-Pul junction. Officials have begun groundwork for the installation, intended as a tribute to his decades of public service and political legacy.
Sources say planning is underway, with discussions around the statue’s design and other logistics reaching advanced stages. Once finalised, a formal unveiling ceremony will follow, expected to be attended by state ministers, political leaders, and close associates of Rosaiah.
Rosaiah, remembered for his humility, administrative acumen, and commitment to public welfare, served as Andhra Pradesh’s CM during a crucial transitional phase. He later held the post of Governor of Tamil Nadu. The memorial, officials believe, will help introduce future generations to his contribution to governance and social development.
