Hyderabad: In a remarkable breakthrough, the Jubilee Hills Police arrested an accused who had been absconding for nearly 30 years in a Non-Bailable Warrant (NBW) case.
Jubilee Hills Police NBW arrest ends 30-year-old case
The accused, identified as Pantangi Vishnu Charry, aged 50, was wanted in Crime No. 226/1996 under Section 380 of the Indian Penal Code registered at Jubilee Hills Police Station. He had been evading arrest for almost three decades.
Acting on credible information, Head Constable Ch. Vijay Sudhakar (HC 9443) of Jubilee Hills PS and Police Constable L. Surender (PC 6570) of Film Nagar PS traced and apprehended him.
Police produced Vishnu Charry before the court for further judicial proceedings.
