Hyderabad: Osmania University will hold its 84th convocation on August 19, with ISRO chairman Dr. V. Narayanan scheduled to deliver the convocation address as chief guest.
Telangana Governor and University Chancellor Jishnu Dev Varma will preside over the ceremony.
Graduates who completed diplomas, UG, PG, MPhil, and PhD programmes in the academic years 2022–23 and 2023–24—including distance education students—have been invited to apply for degrees and gold medals.
OU Controller of Examinations Prof. Sashikant announced that PhD candidates who are awarded degrees by August 6 this year are also eligible.
Applicants must register online at [www.osmania.ac.in](http://www.osmania.ac.in) by August 7. Late applications will be accepted until August 12 with a penalty fee of ₹500.
Gold medals for PhD, PG, and MPhil courses will be presented during the convocation. UG gold medals can be collected later from the respective colleges. The online application opened on Friday.
