Hyderabad: BRS MLA Sanjay denounced alleged Indiramma housing corruption and warned that no beneficiary should entertain demands for money under the scheme. He urged residents to resist such behaviour at every stage. According to him, any individual seeking cash for processing benefits was attempting to misuse public welfare.
He stressed that not a single rupee should be paid for any service linked to the programme. A firm response, he said, was necessary to stop those who tried to exploit applicants. “If anyone demands money, hit them with a pestle. If needed, I will go to jail on your behalf,” he told locals during a meeting.

The MLA recalled that former chief minister KCR introduced direct transfers to protect funds from middlemen. That approach ensured money reached bank accounts without scope for interference. It also reduced opportunities for extortion by blocking unofficial channels.
Residents were reminded that welfare schemes were their right. He encouraged them to report any coercion and to challenge attempts to delay or obstruct applications. Maintaining vigilance, he noted, would keep the system clean.
Sanjay assured people of his continued commitment to protecting their entitlements. As their representative, he said he would intervene whenever officials or agents created hurdles. Timely access to benefits, he added, remained his primary focus in the constituency.
He emphasised that transparent procedures improved outcomes for families. Simple and direct systems limited manipulation by cutting out intermediaries. With this in mind, he appealed to residents to confront illegal demands and help enforce lawful delivery of the scheme.
