Hyderabad Task Force arrests two with MDMA and OG worth ₹1 lakh

Hyderabad: Two men were arrested by the Hyderabad Commissioner’s Task Force, West Zone Team, for possessing and attempting to sell MDMA and OG worth ₹1 lakh. The accused were caught on January 14 following a tip-off.

The arrested individuals were identified as Anwar Hussain, 33, an IT recruiter from Rajendranagar, and Burra Sampath, 31, a car driver from Bandlaguda Jagir. Authorities seized 8 grams of MDMA valued at ₹96,000 and 0.8 grams of OG worth ₹4,000 from their possession.

Police said the accused, driven by a desire for a lavish lifestyle beyond their means, planned to sell narcotics to known customers for profit. They procured the drugs through an associate named Charan, a drug supplier from Bengaluru who remains absconding.

The transaction involved an online payment of ₹38,000 made to Charan on January 8. Investigators said the suspects had begun approaching potential buyers before their arrest.

The accused and the seized contraband were handed over to Attapur Police Station for further legal action. The operation was conducted under the supervision of Inspector Ch. Yadender and Sub-Inspector Md. Jahed of the West Zone Task Force.
