Hyderabad: Two major fire accidents struck the city within 24 hours — one near Moosapet Bharat Nagar flyover and another at a scrap warehouse in Kushaiguda.
In the first incident, flames broke out on Monday evening in an open plot beside the Bharat Nagar flyover in Moosapet. Thick smoke spread quickly as the fire gutted a parked auto-rickshaw. Locals immediately alerted the fire service. Firefighters rushed to the spot and brought the blaze under control. Property was destroyed, but no casualties occurred. Investigators are still probing the cause.

The second fire erupted at a scrap warehouse in Kushaiguda late Sunday night around 9.30 pm. Flames spread rapidly, sending plumes of smoke over nearby residential areas and triggering panic among residents. Police and fire personnel arrived with three fire tenders and doused the flames after a strenuous operation.
Preliminary findings indicated that a short circuit triggered the accident. Warehouse operators reported heavy property loss. Police confirmed there were no casualties and registered a case for further investigation.
