Hyderabad: Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar warned of strict action against drugs, cybercrime, betting apps, and crimes targeting women and children. He addressed the media at the Command Control Centre after taking charge on Tuesday.
Sajjanar said Hyderabad Police would act firmly against offenders and added that every citizen should act with social responsibility. He promised reforms under the “People’s Welfare Police” model and stressed that drugs and cybercrime would remain top priorities.

The commissioner said cyber scams such as digital arrest were targeting old-age pensioner. He promised awareness drives to protect vulnerable groups. He also announced crackdowns on betting apps, adulterated food, liquor, and drunk driving.
Sajjanar warned rowdy sheeters to stay cautious. “Those who attack girls must remember their own families. We will deal with them firmly,” he said.
