Revanth’s declarations are all show, no substance: Harish Rao

Hyderabad: Former minister Harish Rao launched a stinging attack on Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, accusing him of making hollow declarations without the intent to implement. Taking a dig at the recently announced Nallamala Declaration, Harish Rao said it joins the pile of discarded promises like the farmer and BC declarations.

“All talk, no follow-through. The Congress government is addicted to declarations for show,” Harish Rao said, branding the trend as a string of publicity gimmicks “glitter outside, rot inside.”

He slammed Revanth Reddy for arresting Chenchu tribal representatives who came to meet him. “This is what dictatorship looks like. Instead of dialogue, he chose arrests and suppression,” he said. Rao questioned if prematurely detaining tribal activists was now the face of public governance.

“Revanth’s speeches are all anger, no content. All self-praise, no substance,” he said, calling the CM’s delivery nothing more than recycled bluster. “He boasts people still remember BRS rule. Of course they do – because they’re still waiting for you to deliver on your fake promises.”

Harish Rao listed a string of unfulfilled commitments: farm loan waivers, the ₹2,500 Mahalakshmi stipend, the promised tola of gold under Kalyana Lakshmi, scooters for young women, Vidya Bharosa cards, and the job calendar for two lakh vacancies. “Everything is stuck. People haven’t forgotten,” he said.

He added that old-age pensioners, disabled citizens, employees awaiting PRC and DA, retired staff, and RTC workers awaiting merger benefits are all being forced to recall the promises made by Revanth.

Rao ridiculed the CM’s exaggerations, saying, “Only Revanth can claim a full moon shines on new moon night.” He likened the claims about attracting foreign investment to saying a dead buffalo gave milk in a broken pot.

On unemployment, he took aim at the CM’s recent remarks: “While youth are desperate for job notifications, Revanth jokes that jobless people don’t want jobs.”

Rao said even the six guarantees have gone silent. “Not one song about the state’s bankruptcy. Now he’s calling Telangana the number one state. The snakes in Nallamala would be stunned by his flip-flops.”
