Harish Rao says land assets fully disclosed in election affidavits

Hyderabad: Former minister Harish Rao said his life was an open book and his land and asset details were disclosed in election affidavits. He made the remarks while responding to Congress leaders planning to visit Siddipet to inspect his lands.

Harish Rao spoke on Friday at a Bindla Sangham meeting at the Siddipet MLA camp office. He attended the meeting as the chief guest and questioned the arrangements being made for the Congress leaders’ visit.

He asked why hundreds of police personnel, bulletproof vehicles, rope parties and drones were required for the visit. Harish Rao said he was available in Siddipet and could personally make all arrangements for them.

He said he would offer the visiting leaders a meal and personally show them his entire farm. However, he urged them to present the facts as they were and not make false statements.

Harish Rao said his land and property details were clearly mentioned in all his election affidavits. He added that even the survey numbers of his lands had been disclosed.

Harish Rao assets include 13 acres at Ramanchal, he says

Harish Rao said he owned 13 acres at Ramanchal and alleged that claims beyond that were being made. He questioned what he had concealed and what new information the Congress leaders could reveal.

He also alleged that, unlike his political rivals, he had neither encroached on land nor misappropriated public money. Harish Rao said Siddipet voters had elected him seven times based on his work and had repeatedly blessed him.

The former minister said Congress leaders had no reason to be afraid while visiting Siddipet. He described Siddipet as a place known for love, affection and hospitality.

Harish Rao said visitors to Siddipet would be offered food and treated warmly. He reiterated that Congress leaders did not need to arrive with a large police presence or fear their visit.
