Hyderabad: Former minister T Harish Rao on Sunday extended financial support to the family of Chakali Kanakaiah, a BRS Party worker who lost his life in a road accident shortly after attending the party’s silver jubilee celebrations in Elkathurthy on April 27.
Kanakaiah, 35, died while returning home from the event. He is survived by his wife and two young daughters.
Harish Rao visited the bereaved family at Thunki Maktha village in Wargal mandal and handed over a cheque of ₹5 lakh, conveying the party’s condolences and support.
Speaking to the grieving family, Harish Rao reassured them that the BRS Party would always stand by its cadre. “We will ensure that both daughters are admitted to government residential schools. This is only the beginning—we will continue to support the family,” he said.
