Hyderabad: Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukender Reddy directed officials to complete the reconstruction of the Legislative Council building in the Assembly complex by August 15, ahead of the upcoming legislature sessions.
At a review meeting with officials from the Roads and Buildings Department, the Aga Khan Trust, and other agencies involved in the project, Reddy said the state government intended to conduct the next sessions in the renovated structure adjacent to the Assembly building.
He said Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy had recently reviewed the progress and instructed that the next Council session be held in the old building. Gutta emphasised that all pending work must be expedited without delay and wrapped up within the deadline.
Those present at the meeting included R&B Special Chief Secretary Vikas Raj, CM’s Secretary K S Srinivasa Raju, Legislature Secretary Dr Narasimha Charyulu, and ENC Rajeswara Rao.
