Hyderabad: A Gurukulam student died after being hit by a speeding lorry near the Telangana Minority Residential School in Dubbapalli village of Sultanabad mandal, Peddapalli district. The accident occurred on Monday night while the student was crossing the road.
Khaja Nadimuddin Mohammed, 17, was a first-year Intermediate student from Annaram village in Kotapalli mandal of Mancherial district. According to police, he had stepped out with two friends to visit a hotel across the road from the college.
While crossing the road around 8 pm, he was struck by a lorry travelling from Peddapalli to Karimnagar. The vehicle hit him at high speed, resulting in his immediate death at the scene.
Gurukulam student dies in road accident near college campus
Sub-Inspector Shravan Kumar said that the incident was reported based on a complaint filed by the victim’s mother, Sumayashareen. A case has been registered, and police have launched an investigation to determine further details about the vehicle and driver involved.
