Hyderabad: Muslims offered Namaz-e-Istisqa, a special prayer seeking rain, at Milad Maidan in Qila Mohammad Nagar, Golconda, on Sunday. The congregation gathered at 10 am to pray for rain. Maulana Qari Syed Mateen Ali Shah Qadri, Khateeb and Imam of Eidgah Gumbadan-e-Qutb Shahi, led the prayer.
Muslims regard rain as a great blessing from Allah. When rain is delayed, they humbly seek repentance and forgiveness and pray to Allah for rain. The Golconda gathering followed this practice.
Special dua and address at Golconda rain prayer
Mufti Tajammul Ahmed, Kamil Jamia Nizamia, offered a special dua on the occasion. Qazi and Qari Tayyab Momin addressed the gathering.
