GHMC Dy Mayor congratulates Telangana winners of national aerobics championship

Hyderabad: Children from Telangana won the championship trophy at the 3rd National Sports Aerobics Fitness Championship in Salem, Tamil Nadu, drawing praise from local officials. The Telangana aerobics winners have brought great pride to their state.

The event took place from December 27 to 29 and was organised by the Sports Aerobics Fitness Association of Telangana. Telangana’s team secured first place at the national level.

Greater Hyderabad Deputy Mayor Mothe Srilatha Shoban Reddy and TTUC State President Mothe Shoban Reddy felicitated the young athletes. They praised the children’s discipline and dedication. They also noted that sports build not only fitness but also self-confidence and responsibility.

The Deputy Mayor expressed hope that Telangana athletes would excel in international competitions. She said this victory reflects the state’s growing sports culture.

This success followed guidance from association leaders Ismail (President), Raja Singh (General Secretary), and David (Advisor). GHMC Gymnastics Coach Hanuman Naik from Lalapet Jayashankar Indoor Stadium also played a key role.

Gold medals were awarded to R. Greeshika, Buri Elina, Sunidhi Chandra, Kanishka, Sahasra, and Vaishali. Misha and Ananveer Jain took silver, while Santosh and Kamala won bronze.

Sports officials said the win marks another milestone for Telangana’s emerging talent in fitness sports.
