Hyderabad: GHMC Commissioner R.V. Karnan on Thursday instructed officials to intensify sanitation and water quality measures at Saroornagar Lake following Ganesh idol immersions.
Karnan inspected the lake premises along with LB Nagar Zonal Commissioner Hemanth Keshav Patil and Assistant Commissioner (Sanitation) Raghu Prasad. He reviewed the ongoing works and assessed the condition of the lake and its surroundings with line department officials.
The Commissioner emphasised the need for sustained cleanliness drives, regular monitoring of water quality, and ecological safeguards. He directed departments to work in close coordination to preserve the lake ecosystem.
