Hyderabad: With elections around the corner, GHMC Commissioner RV Karnan paid a visit to the EVM storage facility at Chudi Bazaar on Thursday. The inspection was focused on security measures, ventilation, and non-stop surveillance in line with Election Commission rules.
Karnan took stock of the setup to ensure electronic voting machines are safely housed. He gave special attention to fire safety and made sure there’s round-the-clock power backup in place.

The Commissioner also looked at the physical condition of the godown and told officials to stay fully prepared in case of emergencies. The goal, he said, was to keep everything foolproof before the voting begins.
