Hyderabad: Ganesh immersion security was strengthened across Hyderabad with around 20,000 police personnel, Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar said. He made the statement during a tour of the Old City, where he visited Ganesh idols installed in Chandrayangutta.
Sajjanar interacted with organisers during his visit and reviewed arrangements for the immersion process. According to the commissioner, the deployment included women police personnel, She Teams, Task Force units and inspectors from all police stations.
Meanwhile, the police have also put monitoring systems in place at several locations. CCTV cameras have been installed at various points to help police monitor the movement and arrangements during the immersion.
The commissioner said the deployment was aimed at ensuring the smooth conduct of the Ganesh immersion process. The arrangements brought together multiple police units under the city police setup.

In addition, Sajjanar highlighted the role of CCTV surveillance in the security plan. Police are using the cameras installed at different locations to monitor developments during the immersion process.
The Old City remained a key area during the commissioner’s tour. His visit to Chandrayangutta included interaction with organisers of the Ganesh idols installed there.
Sajjanar also extended Ganesh Chaturthi greetings to everyone. The police deployment and surveillance measures formed the main elements of the Ganesh immersion security arrangements outlined by the commissioner.
