Hyderabad: Secunderabad RDO Sai Ram on Monday said police have registered an FIR against unknown persons for fabricating fake pattas linked to the allotment of 2BHK houses.
In an official statement, the RDO said forged pattas were created in the names of B. Laxmi, B. Deepa, and B. Sujatha by using addresses of flats allotted at Ramachandrapuram in Sangareddy district. According to him, unidentified persons fabricated the documents to falsely show eligibility under the 2BHK housing scheme.
During verification, officials checked the reference numbers mentioned in the pattas against the distribution register. However, the scrutiny revealed that those reference numbers matched pattas issued earlier in the Gandimaisamma mandal of the Medchal–Malkajgiri district.
Fake revenue seal used in forged 2BHK pattas
Further, Sai Ram clarified that the Secunderabad division never issued the three pattas in question. He also noted that the Hyderabad district has only two revenue divisions—Hyderabad and Secunderabad.
However, the forged pattas carried a false stamp reading “Revenue Divisional Officer, Hyderabad–Secunderabad Division, Hyderabad District.” Therefore, he said, the use of this incorrect seal clearly established the documents as fake.
Following this, the RDO lodged a complaint at Rangopalpet Police Station seeking legal action against those involved. Subsequently, police registered a case under BNSS Sections 173 and 176 and launched an investigation into the forgery.
