Hyderabad: Telangana Housing and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy on Saturday assured that all eligible families who were left out in the first phase of the Indiramma housing scheme will be accommodated in the second phase.
Addressing a public gathering at Pocharam village in Khammam district, where he laid the foundation stone for a new BT road worth ₹2.8 crore, the minister urged citizens not to lose hope if they had not yet received housing assistance.
He stated that the Congress government was committed to inclusive welfare and had not only continued several schemes initiated by the previous administration but had also launched a range of new welfare initiatives aimed at benefiting the underprivileged.

Criticising the former BRS-led government, Srinivas Reddy noted that in ten years of its rule, not a single new ration card was issued. In contrast, he said, the Congress government, immediately after assuming office, began providing 200 units of free electricity to every family holding a white ration card.
In addition to the power subsidy, he highlighted several ongoing welfare measures, including free RTC bus travel for women, subsidised gas cylinders at ₹500, and the supply of fine rice through the public distribution system.

Srinivas Reddy also announced that the government would soon issue new white ration cards to all eligible families starting next week, ensuring broader access to these benefits. He reiterated that no eligible poor household would be denied a house under the Indiramma scheme.
“The promise stands firm – every deserving family will receive a home. No one will be left behind,” he affirmed.
