Hyderabad: The Erravalli land survey around former Chief Minister KCR’s farmhouse resumed on Monday in Siddipet district’s Markook mandal. Revenue officials examined lands around Erravalli and the boundaries of nearby Venkatapur and Varadarajupur.
Officials had stopped the survey on Sunday due to the holiday. They resumed the exercise on Monday morning and continued checking land records and boundaries.
The survey team focused particularly on government and assigned lands under Survey No. 325. The land covers about 388 acres.
Officials are determining how much of the area belongs to the government and how much falls under assigned land. They are also checking who currently holds the land and the extent of private patta properties.
Assistant Director Sudarshan Rathod, Deputy Inspector Sevyanaik, Gajwel RDO Chandrakala and local tahsildars are part of the teams conducting the exercise.
Erravalli land survey checks records and ownership
Revenue officials are using satellite mapping and other modern technology during the Erravalli land survey. They are also comparing the findings with older revenue records to establish the boundaries of different parcels.
Authorities have already issued notices to more than 100 farmers who hold land under Survey No. 325. The notices asked them to appear at the survey location with their pattadar passbooks and other ownership documents.
Officials said the survey followed recent discussion in the Assembly about land allotments around the farmhouse and alleged irregularities in Dharani records.
After completing the survey, the revenue authorities will prepare a detailed report. They will submit the report to senior officials and the state government.
If the survey establishes that government or assigned land has been encroached upon, officials said they will take possession of the land according to the applicable rules.
The Erravalli land survey was continuing on Monday as officials verified boundaries, ownership documents and revenue records across the 388-acre area.
