Education key to family progress says Komatireddy Venkat Reddy

Hyderabad: Education key family progress, Roads and Buildings Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy said while urging parents to ensure uninterrupted schooling for children.

Speaking in Nalgonda on Thursday, he said education remained the only path to transform families. He made the remarks after laying the foundation stone for a government junior college building in Kangal mandal.

The proposed college will be built at a cost of Rs 6 crore. Later, he also distributed Kalyana Lakshmi cheques to beneficiaries.

The minister said the government was prioritising education across the state. He added that Young India Integrated Residential Schools would be established in every constituency with modern facilities.

He announced that intermediate students would receive breakfast along with mid-day meals from the coming academic year. This step, he said, would improve student health and attendance.

He said the new junior college in Kangal would benefit students from nearby rural areas. Therefore, access to higher education would improve significantly.

Education key family progress through Nalgonda projects

Highlighting development works, he said a government medical college in Nalgonda was completed at a cost of Rs 150 crore. He added that a nursing college would be ready by December.

He said authorities were strengthening skill development through a Rs 20 crore NAC building and an Rs 80 crore ATC centre. In addition, around 2,500 women were undergoing training through SETWIN programmes.

The minister said he had also supported education through personal initiatives. These included setting up a junior college and developing a government school on corporate lines.

Reaffirming his commitment, he said, “The people of Nalgonda made me what I am. I will always be available to serve them in any situation.” He added that with support from A. Revanth Reddy, Nalgonda would emerge as the top district in the state.
