Bhatti reiterates education and healthcare priority in reviews
During the Minority Welfare department meeting, Bhatti directed officials to prepare structured budget proposals with clear prioritisation. He emphasised revenue discipline and expenditure management. At the same time, he asked departments to align allocations with measurable outcomes.
He instructed officials to expedite clearance of pending bills related to welfare hostels and gurukuls. Bills submitted promptly, he said, would be cleared without delay. He also ordered immediate completion of hostel building repairs.
Referring to infrastructure initiatives, Bhatti said the government was constructing Young India Integrated Schools with world-class standards. These institutions, he noted, aimed to create an inclusive environment where students from all backgrounds could study together.
The Deputy Chief Minister directed departments to implement biometric attendance systems for students and teaching staff wherever they were not yet in place. He further instructed that the systems be linked to a central control room for monitoring.
In addition, he asked officials to examine installation of solar power systems on hostel and residential buildings. Solar energy, he said, could reduce electricity expenditure and generate supplementary income.
Bhatti stated that the government had already enhanced diet and cosmetic charges for welfare hostels and introduced a revised menu as part of welfare reforms.
Hon’ble Deputy CM Shri Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu @Bhatti_Mallu said the State Government accords highest priority to Education and Healthcare and will allocate necessary funds to achieve the best outcomes.
