Hyderabad: The Jubilee Hills bypoll has become one of Telangana’s most heated political battles. Every major party is fighting hard to gain an edge and weaken its rivals. Meanwhile, the ruling Congress accused the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of forming a secret understanding, which both opposition parties strongly denied.
During an interview with a YouTube channel, Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Arvind responded sharply to questions about the alleged deal. He said the Jubilee Hills constituency falls under Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy’s parliamentary segment and suggested that queries on the matter should go to him.
Arvind rejects talk of BJP-BRS deal
Arvind categorically ruled out any alliance between the BJP and the BRS. “If anyone compromises the party’s values, it is like doing business with one’s own mother. That is the biggest sin,” he said. Moreover, he warned that such betrayal would invite the curse of party workers for generations.
He asserted that the BJP would never partner with the BRS in the future. “I have met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Amit Shah several times. They made it very clear that such an alliance is impossible,” Arvind explained.
Arvind predicts Congress-BJP rivalry ahead
Furthermore, Arvind predicted that Telangana’s politics will soon revolve entirely around the Congress and the BJP. According to him, the BRS has no chance of regaining lost ground in the state. However, he observed that if the BJP fails to mobilise voters effectively, the BRS vote share may rise slightly, giving Congress a brief advantage.
In addition, Arvind described Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy as a “fortunate leader” who could return to power again. “Revanth Reddy rose politically because he gave tickets wisely, not because of governance,” he remarked.
He also criticised the Congress government for what he called “drama” over BC reservations. Finally, Arvind concluded by saying, “I am the one who made the KCR family taste defeat,” referring to his victory against the BRS leadership.
