DGP Sivadhar Reddy orders special teams to nab accused in Nizamabad constable murder

Hyderabad: Director General of Police Sivadhar Reddy took serious note of the Nizamabad constable murder and ordered immediate action. He expressed deep sorrow over the killing of Constable Pramod, who had been serving with dedication in the Nizamabad CCS.

DGP expresses grief and issues orders

Police said Constable Pramod had detained Shaik Riyaz, a suspect in vehicle theft and chain-snatching cases. He was taking Riyaz to the police station when the accused attacked him with a knife. The constable died on the spot, and the attacker escaped.

The DGP said the death of a sincere officer was unacceptable. He instructed officials to act swiftly and bring the killer to justice.

Special teams deployed to catch the accused

Sivadhar Reddy directed the Nizamabad Police Commissioner to form special teams to track and arrest Riyaz. He also asked IGP Multi Zone–I Chandrasekhar Reddy to visit the site and oversee the investigation.

The DGP told officers to meet the slain constable’s family, express condolences, and provide full assistance. He ordered police units to step up search operations using the clues found at the crime scene. He said the accused must be caught without delay.
