Hyderabad: A Deputy Tahsildar and a temporary attender were caught by Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau officials while accepting a bribe to process a revenue file in Mancherial district.
Akireddy Naveen Kumar, serving as Deputy Tahsildar at Kotapalli mandal, and Gavidi Anjanna, attending duties on behalf of his ailing father at the same office, allegedly demanded ₹10,000 from a complainant. The bribe was sought for linking the complainant’s father’s Aadhaar number with his khata in the revenue records, forwarding the updated file to higher officials, and issuing the Pattadar passbook.
The ACB laid a trap and caught the two officials red-handed while accepting the amount. Both will be produced before the court. Further investigation is underway.
