Hyderabad: Health Minister Damodar Rajanarasimha on Monday inspected the Jogipet nursing college and hostel buildings during his tour of Andole constituency.
The minister conducted a field-level review of the facilities and assessed the progress of ongoing works.
Additionally, he directed officials to expedite civil works and complete the remaining construction at the earliest.
According to the minister, the government plans to inaugurate the college and hostel facilities soon.
Jogipet nursing college to strengthen nursing education
Damodar Rajanarasimha said the state government was giving high priority to nursing education.
Furthermore, he said efforts were underway to strengthen nursing education in line with emerging changes and requirements in the healthcare sector.
The minister reviewed various aspects of the college and hostel infrastructure.
He also offered several suggestions to officials regarding the facilities.
Meanwhile, he interacted with nursing students and held a face-to-face meeting with them.
During the interaction, he enquired about their concerns and listened to their suggestions.
District Collector Prateek Jain, Additional Collector Pandu, Municipal Chairman Krishna Reddy and Vice-Chairman Chittibabu attended the programme.
Engineering officials, municipal councillors, public representatives and other officials also participated in the visit.
