Hyderabad: Cyberabad Commissioner of Police Avinash Mohanty met the newly elected committee of the Cyberabad Home Guards credit society on Thursday and urged them to administer the institution with integrity and clarity. Moreover, he said timely decisions would improve welfare systems for Home Guards. In addition, he stressed that coordinated planning would strengthen the society’s overall impact.
Cyberabad Home Guards credit society elects new panel
The society is Telangana’s first co-operative credit body created exclusively for Home Guards, and it aims to enhance economic stability through structured credit support. Consequently, it promotes welfare initiatives that encourage long-term resilience. Additionally, officials said the institution helps build unity across the force.
Elections took place on 12 November 2025 under the supervision of Election Officer and Assistant Registrar K. Praveen Kumar, who the State Co-operative Election Authority appointed. All candidates won unanimously. The new committee includes B. Gopal, M. Ashok Kumar, E. Buchaiah, P. Narender Reddy, T. Manmadha Rao, G. Chinnamma, and Jayalaxmi. Furthermore, officials noted that the consensus reflected strong internal trust.
Ex-Officio Members include Jt. Commissioner of Police Dr. Gajarao Bhupal as President, ADCP (CAR Headquarters) J.K. Shameer as Vice-President, and RI (Home Guards) M. Vijay Anand as Treasurer.
Future plans for Cyberabad Home Guards credit society
Mohanty encouraged the committee to strengthen documentation systems so members receive support without delay. Moreover, he asked them to maintain steady communication between field units and the central office. In addition, he said efficient coordination would improve the delivery of welfare services.
The society plans to introduce a comprehensive insurance scheme that enhances financial protection for Home Guards. Officials said the proposal would provide stronger cover during emergencies. Moreover, they added that the society intends to scale up welfare activities that improve long-term economic stability.
Officials said the development marks a significant step toward institutionalising welfare, unity, and credit support for Home Guards in Cyberabad.
