HYDERABAD: Congress leaders and party workers held massive protest rallies across the city in response to the Enforcement Directorate (ED) naming Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in a chargesheet.
TPCC President Mahesh Kumar Goud participated in the rally to express strong opposition to the illegal cases on Gandhi family. The protest, organised under the leadership of MP and Secunderabad DCC President Anil Yadav, began at the MLA Quarters and proceeded to the BSNL Bhavan.
Party workers carrying black flags joined in large numbers, showcasing the Congress party’s united front against what they termed as a politically motivated move.

Speaking to media persons on the occasion, TPCC chief Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that Prime Minister Narendra Modi was attempting to coerce the Gandhi family through fabricated legal actions.
He questioned, “If our party funds our own newspaper, how can that be considered money laundering?” He further claimed that the National Herald case and related proceedings were part of a broader campaign of political vendetta.
Mahesh Kumar Goud stated that the money laundering case was clearly an act of revenge. He added that the people of India would not forgive the BJP government for filing illegal cases on Gandhi family, which has sacrificed everything for the country.
He challenged the Prime Minister’s fear over Rahul Gandhi’s push for a caste census, asking, “Why is Modi afraid if Rahul Gandhi is advocating for caste survey?”

Mahesh Kumar Goud condemned what he called an attempt to silence the voice of the people through fabricated legal actions.
He said that the BJP-led central government had filed 95 such false cases against opposition leaders across the country and was misusing investigative agencies for political gains.
Mahesh Kumar Goud reiterated that neither Rahul Gandhi nor Sonia Gandhi would be intimidated by these illegal cases on Gandhi family, and that Congress would continue its nationwide agitation against the unjust treatment.
